Arcadia : Mary Young Named Mayor

Mary Young has been named mayor and Charles Gilb mayor pro tem in the Arcadia City Council’s annual reorganization. Young, who has served two years on the council, replaces former Mayor Don Pellegrino, who could not run for reelection to the council because the City Charter limits members to two consecutive terms. Three council members--Dennis Lojeski, who is beginning his second term, and newcomers Robert C. Harbicht and Roger Chandler--were sworn in at the meeting Tuesday.
