7-Eleven’s Ban on Playboy Magazine

After reading about 7-Eleven pulling Playboy, Penthouse and Forum magazines from their shelves because of their possible connection to crime I had to respond.

If not for the sole reason I have read all of the publications and have yet to commit a crime. The concept of correlating these three publications to crime only shows the quick paranoia Americans have in blaming the media for society’s problems.

The absurdity is that the same chain will take these publications off their shelves, but continue to sell magazines talking about guns, how to sell them and how to use them. I guess there hasn’t been a Republican-oriented survey performed to find the correlation between violence and guns as of today.

I hope 7-Eleven takes the Big Gulp on this issue.
