Former Reporter for S.F. Examiner Becomes Its Executive Editor
Larry Kramer, an editor of the Washington Post and a former reporter for the San Francisco Examiner, has been named executive editor of the Examiner, it was announced Saturday by Publisher and Editor William Randolph Hearst III.
As head of the Post’s Metro department, Kramer was credited with broadly increasing the scope and efficiency of the paper’s local coverage. He also was the founding editor of the Washington Post National Weekly edition.
Kramer, a graduate of Syracuse University, holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
