Diversified Climate

Share

I cannot help but wonder how diversified the real estate climate is in the southern portion of California after reviewing the April 6 real estate section and the commercial & industrial Update supplement.

It is difficult, at best, to comprehend the level of real estate activity in a region as broad and complex as the San Fernando Valley, let alone the entire Southern California area. The Times Sunday real estate section is one of the few vehicles I have to piece together, the multi-regional mosaic which we call “Southern California and beyond.” It seems that those who tend to over-simplify or underestimate this extreme market diversity are bound to relearn the effects of the traditional real estate cycles which occur every six to eight years. Been to Houston, Denver or New Orleans lately or are the lessons too painful?
