The 70-acre site of the master-planned $200-million Centrelake Business Park adjacent to Ontario International Airport has been sold for $21.4 million to The Sickels Group, a San Diego-based development company that recently completed restoration there of the historic U. S. Grant Hotel, and Ontario Partners Inc., a subsidiary of Meadows Resources Inc. of Albuquerque, N. M.

Infrastructure work is expected to begin this year with actual construction starting in 1987 on the business park, which was designed by Newport Beach-headquartered Langdon Wilson Mumper Architects. Plans call for 1 million square feet of office and research-and-development space, hotels totaling 800 rooms, a restaurant park and support facilities, all surrounding a man-made lake.

The parcel is adjacent to Interstate 10 (the San Bernardino Freeway), just north of the planned terminal expansion at Ontario International Airport. Main access to Centrelake is from Haven Avenue.
