Police on Tuesday night raided an illegal drug laboratory capable of producing millions of dollars worth of methamphetamines, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents reported.

Two people believed to be involved in the drug operation fled the scene when agents surrounded a shed where the laboratory had been set up, DEA spokesman Ron D’Ulisse said.

Agents found six large vats containing chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamines, a drug which acts a stimulant.

Agents also found 150 pounds of ephedrine, which can be turned into methamphetamine, and seized $75,000 worth of lab equipment.
