Dutch Cab Drivers to Face Politeness Test

THE HAGUE —
Dutch taxi drivers will soon have to pass exams on politeness and proper social behavior to meet complaints from the public of rudeness, an employers’ group said Wednesday.
The Royal Dutch Assn. of Transport Firms said it is discussing the content of the tests with unions. They are expected to be introduced next year for all current drivers and job applicants.
