Santa Monica : Retail Complex Rejected
The City Council this week unanimously rejected a request to build a 33,750-square-foot retail complex at Montana Avenue and 7th Street. Neighbors had strongly opposed the plan, charging that the two-story complex would dwarf other structures in the residential area. Councilman Dennis Zane said the project was too big, too intense and not “neighborhood friendly.”
