Local News in Brief : 1 Killed, 4 Hurt as Car Overturns on Freeway

One man was killed and four other people were injured Saturday evening when a car overturned on the Hollywood Freeway in Sun Valley, authorities reported.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes about 6:30 p.m. just south of the Roscoe Boulevard on-ramp, CHP spokeswoman Janet Engler said.
One man was killed, she said, and four other people suffered a variety of injuries. One of the injured was taken to Serra Memorial Hospital in Sun Valley and the rest were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, nursing supervisors said.
It was not immediately known what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved.
