Quality Suites, a 177-unit all-suite hotel developed and owned by the Robert P. Warmington Co. of Costa Mesa, will open Thursday at 2701 Hotel Terrace Drive, Santa Ana.

It will be franchised and marketed by Quality Inns International of Silver Spring, Md., which says it is the third largest lodging chain in the country. This hotel and about 19 others that will be built in a joint effort by Warmington and Quality Inns will be managed by Winegardner & Hammons Inc., a Cincinnati-based hotel management firm.

The $12-million Santa Ana hotel consists of seven three-story buildings on 3.2 acres. Rates will range from $69 to $75 and the two-room suites, for both smokers and non-smokers, will have two telephones, two remote-controlled televisions with free cable movie and sports programming, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave oven and entertainment center including a videocassette recorder.
