Fullerton Splits Two With UCLA

Cal State Fullerton rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to pull out a 3-2 nonconference win in the first game of a softball doubleheader at UCLA, but lost the second, 6-0.

The Titans (17-2, 45-6) tied the score in the opener when Joann Ferrieri singled to score Charis Monroe, then won it on Rina Foster’s sacrifice fly that drove in Terri Oberg. Winning pitcher Susan LeFebvre (26-4) struck out six.

The Bruins (21-14) came back in the second game to score five runs in the second inning.

Mary Ricks singled in two runs to spark the five-run inning.
