Eula M. Stovall, head of Cal State Fullerton’s health education-physical education-recreation department, will serve as acting dean of the School of Human Development and Community Services from Aug. 25, 1986, to June 30, 1987, Cal State Fullerton President Jewel Plummer Cobb announced Friday.
Stovall will succeed Dean Peter A. Facione, who is resigning to return to teaching and research.
Stovall, a Tustin resident, holds a doctorate from USC. She has been with Cal State Fullerton since 1965. She is a retired captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve and has taught at USC, San Francisco State University and Los Angeles City College.
Cobb said a search for a permanent replacement for Facione will begin next fall.
