Dr. Parthemore Is Honored as Woman of Year
Dr. Jacqeline G. Parthemore, chief of staff at the Veterans Administration hospital in San Diego, has been named the 37th Woman of the Year by the Presidents’ Council of Women’s Service, Business and Professional Organizations of San Diego County.
Parthemore also is a professor of medicine, assistant dean for student affairs and associate dean for veterans affairs at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.
An author and researcher in calcium and bone metabolism, she has a medical program on local television.
A graduate of Wellesley College and Cornell University Medical School, Parthemore said she had wanted to be a doctor “since I was 12 years old.”
She and her husband, Dr. Alan M. Blank, have two teen-age children.
