Cipher Data Products reported a 59.4% drop in earnings, to $1.7 million, and a 9.4% decrease in revenues, to $40.2 million, for the third quarter ended March 31. For the nine months, the magnetic tape peripherals and controllers maker reported earnings of $3.4 million and revenue of $112.4 million, down 73% and 16%, respectively.
