Pepperdine Awards Nearly 200 Degrees in Education, Psychology

Nearly 200 students received degrees from the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology at a Saturday ceremony in Fouch Amphitheater on the school’s Malibu campus.

The guest speaker was William S. Banowsky, president of Dallas-based Gaylord Broadcasting Co. Banowsky was president of Pepperdine from 1971 to 1978.

An honorary doctorate of fine arts was awarded to former opera star Dorothy Kirsten French, who now heads the John Douglas French Foundation for research into Alzheimer’s disease.
