An around-the-clock bargaining session produced the settlement between the United Auto Workers and the Bendix aerospace and automotive division of Allied-Signal. The agreement will be submitted for ratification by 4,500 UAW members at Bendix plants in five states. Details were withheld pending the vote, said UAW Vice President Odessa Komer, head of the union’s Bendix department. Negotiations began March 4. The new contract covers 700 workers at plants in North Hollywood and Sylmar.
