“Home Front,” due out this fall from King’s Road Entertainment, revolves around a politician’s teen-age child who suffers from unloving parents. But the pic has nothing to do with the much-hyped novel of the same title by Patti Davis, daughter of President Ronnie.

“We had our screenplay (and title) years before her book appeared,” said Kathy Cohen, King Road’s veep of distribution. The company has “no problem” with the title conflict--and implied that it might even help their little picture.

Cohen described her “Home Front” as a “warm comedy” with teen-ager Jon Cryer cast off to boarding school by busy parents (Nicholas Pryor, Lynn Redgrave), then hauled back to bolster the family image during his father’s Senate re-election campaign. Paul Aaron directed.
