Ven-Cap, a Newport Beach holding company, said it plans to acquire American Energy Savings Inc., a Northridge firm specializing in energy conservation, for cash and stock worth about $2 million. Ven-Cap, which in January relocated to Newport Beach from Vancouver, Wash., is completing the acquisition of three more energy-related companies and is negotiating for the purchase of two others, including firms in Orange County, said Roy Nelson, chairman and chief executive.
