The Soviet Union has purchased more U.S. corn.
According to the Agriculture Department, the Soviets bought an additional 100,000 metric tons of corn--about 3.94 million bushels--for delivery through Sept. 30. Two weeks ago, the Soviets resumed buying U.S. grain on a significant scale after a three-month absence from the U.S. market.
