A Litton unit in Canada got a defense contract.

Litton Systems Canada Ltd. was selected by the Canadian government to convert four Tribal Class destroyers from anti-submarine warfare to an air defense role, the company announced. The contract, which is to be completed in early 1992, is worth $1.2 billion Canadian, or about $870 million.
