A Jordanian Airline ordered 12 Airbus jets.
Airbus Industrie, the European commercial aircraft consortium, said it had received firm orders from the Royal Jordanian Airline, Alia, for six A310-300 and six A320 jets. The airline will use the A310s to replace aging Boeing 707s on routes in the Middle East and to North Africa and eventually will be used on the airline’s European routes.
