The Region : Lohman-Barkley Radio Show Leaves Air
The radio comedy team of Lohman and Barkley has abruptly disappeared from the air in a reported split-up after 23 years on KFI. The move apparently came as a surprise to the station, where general manager Don Dalton said Roger Barkley called him to say he was resigning immediately. Al Lohman could not go on the air when he showed up last Friday because the pair’s contract, which had three more years to run, calls for them to work as a team. Dalton said Barkley told him he could no longer do the program because it was affecting his health. Program director Steve LeBeau has assumed the morning commuter-time slot until a replacement can be found.
