Israel Imposes Curfew on West Bank Refugee Camp
From Reuters
JERUSALEM —
Israeli troops clamped a curfew on the Balata refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on Thursday after Palestinian youths threw rocks at army vehicles as a protest to mark Israel’s 38th Independence Day, military sources said.
They said the troops fired into the air to disperse dozens of demonstrators at the camp near Nablus.
In a separate incident, about 50 Arab students protested by burning tires and throwing rocks at vehicles in north Jerusalem, police said. No injuries were reported in either incident.
