Rep. O’Brien Quits Race; Has Cancer and Arthritis

WASHINGTON —
Rep. George M. O’Brien (R-Ill.) announced Friday that he is dropping his campaign for an eighth term and will retire at the end of this term because of prostate cancer and severe arthritis in his spine.
