La Jolla Design Firm Retained for Surgical Center

Jain Malkin Inc., a La Jolla interior design firm, has signed a contract with San Diego’s Mercy Hospital and Medical Center for a 12,500-square-foot ambulatory surgical center.

The concept is based on contemporary Japanese design in terms of form and symbolic representation. Hope Consulting Group is the architect for the $3.4-million project that is scheduled for completion in January.
