Share

City Manager Donald F. McIntyre has presented Pasadena’s 1986-87 budget recommendations to the Board of City Directors. During Monday’s regular board meeting, McIntyre proposed a $76.4-million operating budget for next fiscal year, an increase of 2.1% from last year’s. The board will hold several study sessions on the budget before approving it by July 1, the start of the fiscal year.

Proposed in the budget is an $18.6-million bond sale to finance what city officials say are long-neglected repairs to Pasadena’s streets and city-owned buildings. The budget plan also calls for $18.7 million to be allocated to the Police Department, $10.7 million to the Fire Department and $11.1 million to public works.
