Going Bananas Over a Nutty Problem
Gregory R. Jackson of Los Angeles loves to eat banana ice cream without nuts all year, but the one source he knows of--Thrifty Drugs--carries the item only occasionally. And he is allergic to nuts. Can you help with this nutty matter before Jackson goes bananas, or will he have to put his search on ice because he’s convinced nobody gives a lick?
Irene McDonald of Culver City has been all over town looking for replacement collars for her husband’s dress shirts (Size 17 or 17 1/2). She would love matching collars, but she’ll take white. Can you help before she (or her husband) gets hot under the collar, or will she have to tell him to keep his shirt on--and his chin up?
Sally Guerrero has had no success in her efforts to locate a lavender toilet seat to match the color of the rest of her bathroom fixtures. Can you help complete Guerrero’s lavender lavatory, or will this be another wasted effort down the drain?
Chuck Edwards of Long Beach would just love to find some sour pickles , but no grocery chain seems to carry the item. (He’s not looking for dill, kosher or butter slices.) Can you help Edwards out of his pickle, or will he have to go through life with a sour face?

Fay Cheney of Santa Ana, who was looking for a back-view neck mirror, can soon look forward to having one, and she won’t even have to break her neck to do so. (This should be good news for Floy Paxton of Los Angeles, who’s been searching for the same item.) M. J. Grove of Beverly Hills says Brookstone’s carries the item, and their store nearest to Cheney is at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
