Fullerton police arrested five men and seized drugs, weapons and cash in a raid that ended with a traffic accident after a high-speed chase.
Fullerton Police Lt. Dennis Bryerton said four men were taken into custody Thursday night as officers executed a search warrant at a house on Valencia Street. Police found heroin, cocaine, handguns and money, Bryerton said. Booked into the Orange County Jail on drug possession and weapons charges were Manuel Lopez, 24; Julio Martinez, 18, and Francisco Perez, 25, and his brother, Salvador, 35, all of Anaheim.
Police said the raid netted 25 balloons of heroin, two grams of “black tar” heroin, one gram of cocaine, two handguns and $1,000.
Bryerton said two men approached the house to buy heroin just as police were about to leave. He said undercover officers tried to ad-lib a drug sale and arrest the suspects, but a chase began. It ended in Anaheim when the suspects became involved in a minor traffic accident.
Paul Skomsvold, 27, of Anaheim was booked at Orange County Jail on suspicion of attempted possession of heroin, assault on a police officer, hit-and-run, evading arrest and reckless driving following the chase, Bryerton said.
