‘Corazon Marcos’? Official Red-Faced at Slip of the Lip

DAVAO, Philippines —
President Corazon Aquino laughed but the master of ceremonies blushed when he introduced her at a formal ceremony Friday as “President Corazon Marcos.”
Members of the audience at Davao also laughed when the deeply embarrassed official confused her name with that of Ferdinand E. Marcos.
Aquino smiled and said, “These things do happen.”
