Train Service Restored to Salt Lake Causeway

SALT LAKE CITY —
Southern Pacific crews have restored to service the railroad’s wave-eroded causeway across the swollen Great Salt Lake, but the lake remains in danger of flooding, authorities said.
The causeway was damaged by waves from a storm last week in which winds gusting to 86 m.p.h. closed three of the four lanes of Interstate 80 for 3 1/2 hours.
