Turner Gill, the former two-sport star at Nebraska who had to give up a pro football career after he suffered three concussions last season, has signed a minor league baseball contract as a shortstop with the Cleveland Indians.
Gill, 23, starting quarterback for the Montreal Concordes of the Canadian Football League the last two years, was assigned to Waterloo, Iowa, of the Class A Midwest League.
