From Reuters
MANILA —
Scores of supporters of deposed President Ferdinand E. Marcos were injured today when they were stoned during a march in the northern province of Tarlac, the Philippines News Agency said.
It said about 1,000 marchers, on a 250-mile trek to Manila from Marcos’ home province of Ilocos Norte, were attacked with stones and wooden clubs by people who were said by witnesses to be carrying yellow flags bearing the portrait of President Corazon Aquino. Tarlac is Aquino’s home province.
