ADEN, South Yemen —
Former President Ali Nasser Hasani will be tried on charges of crimes against the people and the country, officials said Thursday.
They said the ruling Yemeni Socialist Party Central Committee has instructed judicial authorities to complete legal and constitutional procedures for the trial. No date has been fixed for the hearing.
Hasani, ousted in January after bitter factional fighting, is believed to be in Yemen or Ethiopia.
