Danes Ban All S. Africa Trade

COPENHAGEN —
Denmark today became the first country in the Western World to ban all trade with South Africa because of its apartheid policies, government officials said.
The Danish Parliament approved, 76 to 5, with 63 abstentions, a bill to ban trade beginning June 15. The major support came from the opposition Socialist and Radical parties, while the four parties in the minority center-right government abstained.
