Former Syracuse basketball star Tony Bruin pleaded guilty in Onondaga County Court at Syracuse, N.Y., to a felony drug charge stemming from two 1984 cocaine sales to an undercover police officer, authorities said.
In a plea-bargain arrangement, Bruin, who played for the Orangemen in 1980-83, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison.
