Antonovich’s Illegal Alien Ad

Share

I’ve just about had it with the Harold Ezells and the Mike Antonovichs. Hearing them speak, I get a hint of what it was like to be a Jew living in Germany during the 1930s.

No, nobody is marching undocumented immigrants to the gas chambers. But there is one frightening parallel: Just as Jews were made scapegoats for the ills of Germany in the 1930s, so too are undocumented immigrants being made scapegoats for the ills of our own country today. For everything from unemployment to drug dealing to terrorism, just look south to some monolithic brown face who has “no respect for our nation’s laws.”

The idea that the most powerless group of people in this country is responsible for the nation’s ills is so outrageous that it would be laughable if it wasn’t so pervasive.

Ezell and Antonovich are fostering an American-style “Kahaneism” that exploits the racism and paranoia held by many Americans with regard to immigration. Where will it end if it is not resisted?
