Biflyx Posts $96,000 Loss in Fiscal Third Quarter

Biflyx of Santa Ana, a fledgling developer of high technology products, on Wednesday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $96,000, an improvement over the $162,000 lost in the year-ago period.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $70,000, up from $4,000 posted the year before.

For the nine months, Biflyx had a loss of $249,000, compared to $186,000 in the prior year. Results for the most recent three quarters include a $36,000 gain on the sale of stock. Results from the year-ago period include a $100,000 stock sale gain.

Revenue for the most recent three quarters was $101,000, contrasted with $5,000 the year before.

The company also said it has disposed of its fuel distribution business. It said its operating revenue for the quarter came from the sale of its color video printer systems.
