Airliner Lands Safely After Tire Blows Out on Takeoff

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Piedmont Airlines Boeing 737-200 carrying 123 people landed safely here Tuesday after one of two nose tires blew out during takeoff at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, officials said. There were no injuries.
