The judgment came in a breach-of-contract suit brought by Texas Crude, a small Houston firm, against Delhi Gas Pipeline, a subsidiary of Texas Oil & Gas. The suit accused Delhi of breaching a contract to buy natural gas from Texas Crude. Texas Oil & Gas called the recommended damages by a Cherokee County, Tex., jury “shocking and excessive” and vowed to appeal if the amount is upheld by the trial judge.
