Bell : Go-Ahead for Poker Club
The last hurdle blocking the close of escrow for the California Bell poker club was cleared Monday when the Bell City Council approved the transfer of ownership of club partner John Gasparian to two corporations.
Police Chief Frank Fording recommended that the council allow ownership to be transferred to Samuel Torosian, now the manager of the casino, Sham Young and Larry Wong, who are the sole stockholders and directors of the California Bell Club Management Corp. and the California Bell Club Investors Corp.
The three partners have been approved by the state Gaming Registration Commission.
