The killing of an elderly Redlands woman has prompted a search for a survivalist in military fatigues who lives off the land. Police were looking to question Danny Figueroa, 26, in connection with the death of Mary Rose Langerich, 72, who was shot while walking her dog on San Timoteo Canyon Road, police said. Figueroa, who uses as many as five aliases, wanders around low-population areas from Redlands to San Diego and has been spotted in the southeastern section of Redlands, wearing green fatigues and black boots and carrying a rifle, police said.
