Ten people were killed in Southern California traffic accidents in the first 54 hours of the Fourth of July weekend, authorities said. Among the victims was a woman who died when a dumpster on a Los Angeles city trash truck struck an overhead sign on the Harbor Freeway, severing a metal support brace that crashed through a car windshield and struck her, authorities said.
