Bill Hartman, a 39-year-old drag boat racer, died from head injuries suffered when his boat crashed at more than 100 mph Sunday on the Brazos River near downtown Waco, Tex.
Hartman, of Lexington, N.C., was pronounced dead at Providence Hospital, an hour after the accident on Lake Brazos during the Texas Shootout race.
