Workers Fall 12 Stories; 1 Killed, 1 Badly Injured

NEW YORK —
One bricklayer was killed and another critically injured Monday when they fell 12 stories after a construction worker inadvertently detached a scaffold from a high-rise building, police said. A third worker suffered a broken leg when he was caught in the scaffolding, but he was pulled to safety through a window by co-workers, police said.
