‘Vision’ Triggers Bone Discovery in Watts Yard
Bone fragments and a piece of a what appeared to be a human skull were found in the yard of a Watts woman, authorities said Tuesday.
Lanette Duncan, 24, told police that she and her roommate, Sharen Winkey, 31, dug up a side yard Monday and found part of a skull. Detective Patrick Marshall added that Duncan said “she had a vision that there were bodies in the yard.”
Sgt. Pat Rossan said the pieces “appear to have been buried for some time,” and are being studied by a coroner’s investigator and an anthropologist.
