Reagan to Campaign in 3 Dixie States

WASHINGTON — President Reagan will travel to Texas, Florida and South Carolina this month to campaign for Republican candidates, the White House announced today.
Reagan will participate in a campaign rally July 23 in Dallas for former Gov. William Clements, who is seeking to return to the governor’s mansion. After an overnight stay in Miami to help raise money for Sen. Paula Hawkins and the Florida GOP, he will return to Washington via Columbia, S.C., where he will attend a fund-raising event for Rep. Carroll A. Campbell Jr., the Republican gubernatorial nominee.
