Out of respect for President Reagan I won’t suggest that perhaps he owes Daniel A. Manion a favor. But it’s very hard to believe that out of all the ambitious law practitioners around he can’t find another conservative who agrees with him, and is experienced and able, and hasn’t written a letter promising to help the Birch Society in court.
