Countywide : Bonus May Be Paid Top County Administrator
- Share via
Praising new County Administrative Officer Larry Parrish for doing an “excellent job,” supervisors asked the county counsel to explore whether they could legally award him a $5,000 bonus.
Supervisor Bruce Nestande, an often vocal critic of county staff workers, raised the issue Wednesday when board members received an update on salary negotiations, fringe benefit packages and other employment issues.
Nestande complimented Parrish and recommended the $5,000 bonus figure in recognition of the “extraordinary work he has done over the past year.”
Parrish, former top administrator in Santa Barbara County, was chosen for the job on May 1, 1985, after a nationwide search to replace longtime County Administrative Officer Robert E. Thomas.
