Missing Woman Turns Herself In
A mentally disabled woman, who was the object of a widespread search after she disappeared from a board-and-care home in Orange more than two weeks ago, turned herself in at a hospital Wednesday, police said.
Deborah Ann Fusco, who was carrying only $5 when she disappeared June 22, showed up at the psychiatric care unit of UCI Medical Center about 10 a.m. She appeared to be in good physical condition, according to authorities.
The 31-year-old Fusco told police that she had been staying at the beach since she left the care residence on Shattuck Place to buy shoes at a nearby drugstore.
