Fed Cuts Discount Rate

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Federal Reserve Board said today it cut its key discount rate to 6.0% from 6.5% effective Friday.
The reduction, which follows a string of lackluster economic data, is likely to help boost the flagging U.S. economy.
